Played tonight after not having played for several weeks. Whenever I have a bad downswing, I tend to lose my interest in playing.

How is that a bad beat? He had you before the flop and you caught a break on the 4th, then he came back to win when he was the favorite from the start. Don't lose interest, you lost accordingly, and he just outplayed you. Keep at it, i'm sure you'll pick up on a situation like this next time around, we can't all be great at poker, someone has to pay out!

What I mean by a "bad beat" here is that this hand is an unlucky situation in which you are destined to lose money, probably your whole stack, if you are sitting in my seat.
