Ugh

Ugh, a brutal run of beats and bad luck that I feel like I couldn't do much about. For your reading pleasure:

By the river, I'm not very confident I'm ahead, but what can I do with my hand so underrepresented. People will say "Well, if you'd raised earlier, you could have folded out AT." But I don't want to fold out AT, in general. I want to get extra bets in against a hand I dominate. Didn't work out this time, of course.

This one I feel like maybe I should have gotten away from. The turn min checkraise screams strength, and the flush just came in, in addition to the possibility that he has trip 9s. I took a look at his stats, though, and he had VPIP 40% and a healthy PFR too, which led me to believe he might be bluffy and aggressive.

Got myself in trouble again by slowplaying. Villain had VPIP of 60%. After betting the flop, I thought I would appear scared of the ace by checking the turn. Maybe that worked, because he bet the turn, but then I let him get there on the river. Kind of a scary board for me to raise the turn.

Well, this one you just have to laugh at. Or cry at. Actually, I was a little scared of AJ on the turn. But the money is all going in one way or another, no matter what I do. Although I guess if I just call the turn, then I can consider folding the river - as it turned out - because I don't even beat an ace at that point? Dunno, but it seems silly to think about playing a boat like a scaredy-cat.

This guy had odds to call, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

Edit: I went back and did the math, and it turns out he didn't have the odds. He needed 40% pot equity, but he only had 39%. Ha! Donkey! Now, am I pathetic enough to tell him this in chat? I think I might be...
